Calvary United Methodist Church: Every Member in Mission
Calvary United Methodist Church exists to spread the word of Christ in Green Hills, Middle Tennessee, and the world through an emphasis on mission outreach.
...for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me..."And the king will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of theleast of these who aremembers of myfamily, you did it to me.'" -Matthew 25: 35-36, 40
Missions includes EVERYONE. Calvary's missions and outreach aren't limited to the defined programs above. From a children's nail-collection project for Habitat for Humanity to the United Methodist Men's tape visitation ministry to shut-ins, Calvary people are reaching out to their community and their world. Sunday school classes, the United Methodist Women, children's council, circles and committees give their time, their energy, their hearts (and sometimes even their blood!) in a compassionate gift to the world around us.
